I remember it myself like it was yesterday...the first mention I ever heard of a new Psychopathic creation. It was a very small mention of a, "Dark Lotus", during the song, The Shaggy Show. The song makes reference to a group featuring not only ICP, but Twiztid as well. It would be several years yet, before any of use knew what Dark Lotus was. Now the answers are out... Psychopathis kept the juggalos on the edge of their seats when talking about Dark Lotus. Dark Lotus was supposed to be new, fresh, full of black magic, something that would make a juggalo feel somewhat daring for just having listened to it...and that's what is was. We were only given small tastes of this wickid new band, based on the knowledge of the necronomicon...A sampler, ONE new song.

The original make of the band was ICP, Twiztid, Blaze, and a new comer! Marz. they finally performed together at the gathering of the juggalos 2001 the album was available at the gathering then The first album, Tales from the Lotus Pod, was released on July 17, 2001 to the public. Shortly after Marz left Dark Lotus because his record deal wasn’t happy. ICP informed us theer was no beef between psychopathic and Marz, that is until it was reported that Marz was dissing them and said that on Halloween he would release an mp3 on his site called the real dark lotus. This featured Marz himself sporting some rhymes as well as taking bits from the tales of the lotus pod and little skits from BMH. After all this it was soon forgotten and ABK was confirmed to be doing Dark Lotus. It was then confirmed a re-release would be done with ABK sporting his own rhymes over the bits which Marz did. In Bitch im sexi J says Hey yo marz, (Whats up?) Man, how the FUCK you gonna play these wanna be juggalettes? On the re release it was replaced with Hey yo Marz, You never was Lotus and you know this bitch!!. The re-release was released at gathering of thejuggalos 2002.
